India have decided to rest all-rounder Irfan Pathan for their opening match of the Asia Cup against Hong Kong on Wednesday.
The decision was taken as the Baroda pacer is yet to recover from a side strain, even though skipper MS Dhoni has said there was no major injury concern.
“It has been decided to give him some rest,” said Dhoni, adding that Irfan may play the second match on June 26 against hosts Pakistan. Read more
